Annunciation Orthodox School (AOS) sixth graders Lauren Pearson, Kiera Adzgery, Emma Poirot and Olivia Chapman (pictured, from left) celebrate the Dolphins’ success at the Greater Houston Middle School Softball championship tournament. The team advanced through the single-elimination tournament all the way to the final four, after defeating Pin Oak Middle School 17-2. In the semifinal game, the Dolphins led Second Baptist School (SBS) 2-1 through the first three innings, but ultimately fell to SBS, despite out-hitting them 7 to 4. These girls have played softball together for more than five years, and also play on various West University Softball Association (WUSA) teams year-round. Between their AOS school team and WUSA teams, the girls are on the field nearly every day of the week during the spring season.
